Snapshots of life on a small tropical fruit farm in Trinidad, Cuba. This UNESCO World Heritage listed colonial town is 4 hours drive south east of Havana, nestled between the Escambray Mountains and the Caribbean Sea. An Australian, I am co-owner and manager of a Casa Particular/Bed and Breakfast/Hostal Casa Los Mangos with my Cuban husband, an artisan, fisherman and local musician.

Fiona!!! Do you ever check this blog? It has been a while since your last posting and I really want to send you something on email. Oh, by the way, Tania here. We stayed with you last week (Jan 11-12, 2018)—myself, Carl, Kathy and Dave with the mandolin, all from Vermont—and don’t forget, you promised to come visit the next time you come up to see your friend in Milton. After we left Casa los Mangoes, I kicked myself over and over again for not showing you and Ossiel this video I know he will love, given his passion for birds, Elvis and guitars! Maybe you can see it this way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEQuDyuQFKE

Otherwise, we all really enjoyed our two nights with you and mean it; nuestras casas estan tus casas tambien! Hope to see you up here, or back in Trinidad again. xo, Tania
